Full Review: Zén (3 Michelin Stars, Singapore)
Hi S3 Family,
As you know, over the past few months, we’ve been deep in the heart of Singapore’s food scene—and we’ve officially arrived at the final stop on our tour: Restaurant Zén. Up next, we’re headed to NYC! Stay tuned.
This place needs no introduction. As the sister restaurant to Frantzén in Stockholm, Zén is part of Chef Björn Frantzén’s growing empire. He’s currently the only chef in the world holding 3 restaurants with 3 Michelin stars each: Frantzén, Zén, and the newly awarded FZN. So yes, our expectations were sky-high.
From the moment you step into the 1920s shophouse, the tone is set: this isn’t your typical fine dining experience. It’s bold, loud, theatrical, and full of personality. The multi-level journey is immersive—starting with small bites in a colorful lounge, followed by mains in a sleek Nordic-style dining room, and ending in a moody upstairs salon for desserts and nightcaps. It’s a restaurant that wants you to feel something—and it absolutely delivers on atmosphere.
